Benefits to Fishing with us...

  • You are fishing one of the truly great locations left in the world, home to more grand slams - permit, tarpon and bonefish all in the same day, than any other place.
  • We have good fishing 365 days a year with different place to go based on the wind.
  • You will be assigned two guides for each boat. One expert guide and one apprentice guide. They are there for you.
  • We have protected areas to fish no matter what direction the wind blows. lagoons where we can see and cast at bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jacks, barracudas, Spanish mackerels, and other species.
  • Fishing is good year round as there are resident bonefish, however the best times for bonefish are during the warmer weather. Bonefish feed less during cold water periods, and they move to warmer waters. Rain is a factor that makes spotting the fish difficult. In the Caribbean the rainy season is from the end of June to the end of December and dry season is from early January through June. For bonefish the best season is February through August.
  • We also offer you spin tackle fishing in case your fly fishing skills are a bit rusty.

Variety is the word to describe Ascension Bay and Boca Paila flats. There are hundreds of square miles where it's common to see bonefish, permit, and barracuda in the same day, all year round! With seasons for migrants tarpon and snook. That's why probably more Grand Slams have been caught here.
You need to bring tackle for all this species and at least 2 rods to be ready at all times. After your reservation we will send you complete tackle list or wait until you get here and select from our collection on arrival. We will take you to lagoons where we can see and cast at bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jacks, barracudas, Spanish mackerels, and other species.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AREA

Is the fishing good in the area?
Ascension Bay is world renowned for “Grand Slams.” A “Grand Slam” is a Permit Bonefish and Tarpon all in the same day! This area is number 2 in the world for “Grand Slams.”.

What can we expect to catch?
The list, Permit, Bonefish and Tarpon above, does not include the other fish in the area like Barracuda, Sapper, Snook just to mention a few.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE TRANSPORTATION

How is the road to the departure point-fishing lodge?
The highway from your hotel to Tulum is very good highway. Then the road turns into “bad road” giving a whole new definition to the term “bad road.” Now while the road is bad – full of potholes - some the size of your car, it is a beautiful drive along the Caribbean coast line. You will enjoy view, and the ride, well, the ride is an adventure and part of the reason the fishing is so good.

What vehicle will we traveling in to the lodge?
You will be picked up at your hotel in an air-conditioned van for your ride to the lodge where you will have breakfast before departure.

QUESTIONS ABOUT RESERVATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

How do I know you have space available?
If you reserve 7 to 10 days in advance you have a 100% chance we have space for you. We recommend you send in your reservation, complete with your credit card information, and if space is not available we will call or email you with when space is available. So be sure to include your phone number on your reservation form.

Is it possible to make a reservation when I get to Cancun?
We do recommend you make your reservations as far in advance as possible so that you are sure to get the trip when you want to go. During the high season from January to August there are many times we have no space available 2-3 days in advance. To make your reservation once you arrive in Cancun call us at 898-4312 or if you are outside Cancun call us at 01-998-898-4312, and from the states 1-800-860-5917.

What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel any trip or tour up to 24 hours before departure and only pay a 5% administrative processing fee. If the trip or tour is cancelled by the operator you will receive a 100% refund or we will reschedule at your request. Click Here! To see all Cancellation and Change Policy.

Is the pricing on the website correct?
Yes. The prices are accurate and complete meaning that there are no additional charges. Our guarantee is that you will not pay more than that published price on our website. At the end of the tour a tip is optional and is generally 10% - 15% of the price depending on how much you like the tour and the service provided.

I send in a reservation with my credit card and what happens?
Once you send a reservation we confirm that there is space available. Then we charge your card. We then put the confirmation number on a coupon or voucher and send it to you in an email. You print it and that is your paid receipt for the tour. You present the coupon at check in.

Should I send in my credit card with the reservation?
Yes because you have a much better chance of getting the tour the less time that goes by before the departure. If there is no space available we will not charge your credit card but advise when the tour is available closest to the date you want. If you send in a reservation form without a credit card number inquiring about availability then we respond, simply more time passes giving the tour more time to fill up. Again once you are ready to reserve it is best to send your reservation with a credit card. Please remember no reservation is made until we have payment via your credit card or by other means.

How can I check the status of my reservation?
It is our objective that you know what is happening with your reservation. We will send you an update if we are going to be than 48 hours getting you a response. If 48 hours has gone by and you have gotten no update or coupon please call 1-800-860-5917 from the USA and Canada or +52-998-898-4312 from the rest of the world. If you are already in Cancun our local number is 898-4312 and if you are outside Cancun dial 01-998-898-4312.
